TapSafe Vehicle is currently operated by Simon Beric as a UK business/trading name. Contact: [email protected].
TapSafe provides NFC tags and an online vehicle information service. A compatible phone can read a programmed TapSafe NFC tag and open the relevant TapSafe web experience, including activation or a Vehicle Passport.
TapSafe is not a replacement for official DVLA, DVSA, insurance, manufacturer, garage or other authoritative records. Users should independently verify information where accuracy is important.
You are responsible for providing accurate account information, keeping your password secure and for activity carried out through your account. You should contact us promptly if you believe your account or tag has been compromised.
You are responsible for the accuracy and lawfulness of information you add to TapSafe. You must not add information you do not have the right to store or publish. Information designated for a public Vehicle Passport may be accessible to anyone who obtains or scans the tag's public link.
Each TapSafe tag may have a unique Tag ID and permanent TapSafe web address. Do not deliberately alter, duplicate, misuse or interfere with a tag in a way intended to impersonate another vehicle, account or customer.
NFC operation depends on compatible devices and the physical condition and positioning of the tag. We cannot guarantee compatibility with every device or environment.
Prices displayed at checkout apply at the time an order is placed. Payments are processed through Stripe. Any delivery charges or taxes that apply will be shown as required during the purchasing process.
Submitting payment does not prevent us from cancelling or refunding an order where, for example, there is an obvious pricing error, suspected fraud, stock problem or other legitimate reason we cannot fulfil the order. Where we cancel a paid order, an appropriate refund will be made.
Delivery, cancellation, return and faulty-product arrangements are explained on our Delivery & Returns page. Your statutory consumer rights are not excluded or restricted by these terms.
TapSafe relies on internet access and third-party infrastructure. We aim to provide a reliable service but cannot promise uninterrupted or error-free availability. Maintenance, outages, security incidents or circumstances outside our reasonable control may temporarily affect access.
You must not use TapSafe unlawfully, attempt unauthorised access, interfere with security, introduce malicious code, scrape or overload the service, impersonate others, or use TapSafe to mislead people about a vehicle's identity, history or status.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability that cannot lawfully be excluded under UK consumer law. Subject to those rights, TapSafe is not intended to provide mechanical, legal, insurance or roadworthiness advice and should not be relied upon as the sole basis for safety-critical or purchasing decisions.
The TapSafe Vehicle name, website design, software, branding and original content are owned by or licensed to TapSafe Vehicle unless stated otherwise. Purchasing a tag does not transfer ownership of TapSafe software or branding.
Our handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.
We may update these terms as TapSafe develops. Changes will not remove statutory rights and, where appropriate, significant changes affecting existing customers will be communicated.
These terms are governed by the applicable laws of the United Kingdom relevant to the customer and transaction. Consumers retain any mandatory rights relating to where they live.
